Bryan C. West

D.P.M., FACFAS., CWS

  • Biography

    Dr. West graduated from the University of Akron with the highest honor, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelors degree in biology. He attended medical school at Kent State University Medical School College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated with the 2nd highest GPA in his class. Upon graduation, he was 1 of 2 fellow doctors inducted into the Pi Delta National Honor Society. He completed his surgical residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Michigan, and was named Chief Resident during his training.


    Dr. West is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and has a special interest in traumatic Achilles tendon ruptures, diabetic foot salvage, foot and ankle surgery, and advanced wound care techniques. Dr. West is trained in several endoscopic surgical procedures and well as laser surgery. Dr. West is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and is a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management. He was been published in the American Journal of Podiatric Medicine, received a prestigious attending physician of the year award from the St John Providence residency program, and enjoys teaching new resident physicians.

Indira Muharemovic

  • Biography

    Dr.Muharemovic was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and moved with her family to Michigan at the age of 8. As long as she can remember her goal was to become a physician. She attended Wayne State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Biology.  During her time at Wayne State University she spent her spare time volunteering at the Detroit Medical Center and made it a goal of hers to return there as a resident physician. In 2011, she went on to Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, in Chicago, IL and earned her doctorate of podiatric medicine. After completion of medical school.


    Dr.Muharemovic earned a spot at one of the top podiatric surgery and medicine programs in the country, at the Detroit Medical Center. She has extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including reconstruction, traumatology, sports medicine and limb salvage. 


    Dr.Muharemovic also served as chief resident during her senior year of training.   Dr.Muharemovic is board certified by the American board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Her practice philosophy is to provide the best care to her patients while tailoring that care as much as possible to the personal needs of the patient. She is a strong believer that the patient and physician are a team and should work together towards the common goal of getting the patient healthy.


    Dr.Muharemovic prides herself on being up to date on all the latest advances in foot and ankle surgery. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family.
